---- About me ----

Hi, I am Trishala, but you probably already know that since you're visiting my portfolio website!

I work as a User Experience Designer (UX), but also focus on user research and usability testing. Ever since I was a child I always had an interest in why people behave the way they do and to what extent it can be influenced. Add a little digital spice to this and that is a part of what I do and I enjoy that very much. It is safe to say that talking to people, the user, is one of my favorite parts of the job.

At the moment I am working for ORTEC as a UX designer and Usability researcher, I've been working here for a little more than a year now and it has been great working on complex and global projects.

I like to surround myself within a creative, but also innovative environment. Curious to learn more, like to do research, talk to people and of course design (mostly) digital and interactive products.

In 2016 I graduated from uni with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Communication & Multimedia design was the program I graduated in. During my time in University I developed a great interest in Human Computer Interaction, but also in gamification and how this could be used to nudge people into certain directions. I am very proud of the product that I made during my graduation project, for this concept I used gamification among other things. With this video I tried to give the audience an impression of the prototype. And with this video you get a look behind the scenes of the usability test.

When I am not designing digital stuff, you can find me watching movies or reading a book. Traveling is something I like to do as well, and learn more about other cultures and people. I am curious to so many things in life and would like to absorb as much information as I can.

For me it is very important that social awareness and sustainability is a focus for a company I work with. Also, a company or project where the end-user of the product or service is on top of the list is a great match. When it comes to developing it is often forgotten that the user is a person and not some robot and that's where I as a UX designer pop up!
